In an IDPA match (competition), you must complete a stage HST-30 handling shooting test . If you can achieve a Basic Level rating, you're definitely on the right track.

The next step would be for you to attend an IDPA Intro course , where you will learn all the important rules and at the end you will shoot the IDPA Standard Classifier.
