Pistol Courses
schiesskurs.ch offers structured and advanced pistol shooting courses in the Zurich, Aargau and Bern regions for beginners and experienced shooters. The courses are for women and men aged 18 and over. The maximum number of participants is 6 .
The aim of the courses is the safe, correct handling of firearms in theory and practice. The weapons can be rented for the duration of the course. Professional course management by a former Swiss Army militia instructor. For the sake of health, we use 9mm Para Nontox (low-pollutant) ammunition. These courses are also suitable for security guards and police aspirants. Course participants receive a course confirmation (course ID card) for each module/shooting course.
To better classify the courses, the course title has either an “ E ” for introductory course, an “ S ” for sport dynamic course or a “ T ” for tactical course. This refers to the focus and content of the courses.

Rifle Courses
schiesskurs.ch offers structured and advanced courses with semi-automatic rifles (.22lr) for experienced and less experienced people. The courses are for women and men from the age of 18, a maximum of 6 participants per course. The aim of the courses is the safe, correct handling of firearms in theory and practice. A semi-automatic rifle can be “rented” for the duration of the course. Professional course management by former Swiss Army militia instructors. These courses are also suitable for weapon bearers in the security service and police aspirants. Course participants receive a course confirmation (course ID) for each module/shooting course. Important: These courses are held exclusively in caliber .22lr.
Carbine 9mm
schiesskurs.ch offers structured and advanced shooting courses with semi-automatic rifles (9mm Para), also known as pistol caliber carbine or just carbine, for experienced and less experienced people. The courses are for women and men from the age of 18, a maximum of 6 participants per course. The aim of the courses is the safe, correct handling of firearms in theory and practice. These courses are also suitable for weapon bearers in the security service and police aspirants. The participants receive a course confirmation (course ID) when the course has been completed in full.
IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association)
At the IDPA, self-defense scenarios are carried out with standard weapons (pistols, revolvers and 9mm carbine) from the holster. Divided into different weapon categories (division) and performance categories (classification). The main objective is to test each individual's skills and abilities. IDPA was founded in the USA in 1996 and is represented in 70 countries.

In thousands of self-defense situations involving firearms, it has been found that the typical self-defense situation lasts less than 3 seconds, fires an average of 3 shots and the distances are mostly under 7m.
schiesskurs.ch offers a special “Home Defense” course with the HDR-50 revolver . The legal aspect takes up a large part of the course. You will find out in theory WHAT IF and the resulting consequences. You will learn how to easily handle the non-lethal HDR-50 revolver, how to act, how to make situation-related decisions and how to communicate easily with the perpetrator. This course combines the simplicity of handling with the complexity of an armed confrontation. This course is also suitable for experienced pistol shooters. Course participants receive a course confirmation (course ID card).

Dry fire courses
Would you like to start shooting and you are concerned that it will be noisy? Then the Dry Fire (dry training) is just right for you. In a relaxed atmosphere you have the opportunity to practice essential processes on the weapon without it "banging". Are you an experienced shooter? I can show you advanced techniques and processes and train with you, which for safety reasons may not be practiced with live shots.

Shooting instructor training
Shooting instructor Dynamic 1
Aim of the course
The Dynamic 1 shooting instructor training course prepares participants comprehensively to teach shooting techniques and safety regulations in both individual and group lessons. Participants learn methods for making shooting training effective, correcting individual mistakes and leading groups safely. A particular focus is on the professional teaching of techniques as well as the analysis and optimization of shooting behavior using modern teaching methods such as video analysis and structured feedback.
Benefit from Marco Schnyder's many years of experience as a shooting instructor, head of the SAMI Academy Switzerland and trainer with a federal certificate. Specialist certificate (SVEB II).
Course content
- Safety regulations: Teaching the safety rules for shooting sports, both in individual lessons and in group supervision.
- Weapons technology: Introduction to the functionality and maintenance of various firearms (pistols, rifles, etc.) to ensure safe and appropriate use in class.
- Shooting technique: Teaching the basics of precise shooting and dynamic shooting, including trigger techniques, as well as advanced techniques such as shooting from different positions. Recognizing and correcting individual errors.
- Dry training: practice sessions without live ammunition in which participants work on their shooting technique, weapon handling and safety. This also includes training in movement sequences such as drawing the weapon from the holster and aiming.
- Shooting from a holster: Training in quickly and safely drawing the weapon from the holster and shooting from this position. Particular emphasis is placed on safety protocols and handling the weapon in dynamic situations.
- Basic revolver: Basic training on the revolver. Preparing, gripping, shooting, reloading techniques and unloading a revolver
- Didactics and methodology: Development of teaching methods for individual and group lessons, adapted to the different performance levels of the participants.
- Group Management: Techniques for safely and efficiently leading groups, including specific challenges in supervision and error correction with multiple participants.
- Legal basis: Overview of the legal regulations in shooting sports, particularly with regard to the operation of shooting ranges and the provision of instruction.
- First aid: Special training on first aid in shooting sports in order to be able to safely look after both individuals and groups in emergency situations.
- Practical exercises:
- Teaching samples: Participants conduct teaching units under supervision to test their didactic skills in realistic training situations.
- Video analysis: Recordings of the participants' shooting technique are analyzed in detail in order to optimize movement sequences and correct errors in a targeted manner.
- Giving feedback: Training in the art of feedback - from analyzing individual performance to providing constructive suggestions for improvement. Participants learn to formulate both positive and critical feedback clearly and motivatingly.
Entrance test
- Practical entry test: At the beginning of the course, participants must pass a practical shooting test HST-30 (Advanced level), which tests basic shooting techniques and safety behavior. This ensures that all participants have a minimum level of practical skills.
Conditions of Participation
- At least 25 years old
- No previous convictions (present a current criminal record extract)
- Personal pistol 9x19mm including 200 rounds of non-tox ammunition

- HST-30 Level Advanced achieved
- Self-study theory 250 questions
Maximum number of participants

Course duration
The course lasts 3 days (20 hours), with the focus being on practice. At the end of the course there is a final exam that includes both a written test and a practical exam.
A written test tests the participants' knowledge in various areas of handgun shooting. Out of 250 questions, 50 are asked.
Degree and Certification
After successfully passing the final exam, participants receive a certificate that identifies them as qualified shooting instructors for individual and group lessons.

Who is allowed, who is not?
general guidelines
- You are at least 18 or no older than 60 years (60+ on request) old
- You are physically and mentally fit enough to complete a 3 or 5 hour course.
- You don't have a criminal record for offenses against life and limb.
- On the day of the course you have a current criminal record extract that is not older than 3 months ( online ). (except gun bearers and police officers).
- Unfortunately, if you are a sole citizen of Albania, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Turkey, you cannot participate in the courses. (see Swiss Weapons Act , provision TSB Birmensdorf ( see Terms of Use 1.1.1 ).
- If we consider you unsuitable for the courses in terms of character or mentality, we will not admit you to the courses.
Intensive courses in Arcisate
Are you looking for an intensive shooting course?
I offer group and personal training in Arcisate (Italy). Arcisate is located in Italy and is about 20 minutes by car from Mendrisio. In this outdoor area you can train almost anything you want: shooting in motion, a shooting range of almost 180°, steel targets and moving targets. An Eldorado for IDPA shooters or those who want to become one.
Group courses
Over three days we will shoot an intensive program at the shooting range in Arcisate (Italy). For group courses, the number of participants is limited to 6 people. The courses usually take place from Thursday to Saturday. An important requirement for participation is that you have a European Firearms Passport (EFWP).
personal training
During personal training in Arcisate you usually shoot around 800 rounds. The program will be put together individually for you. I usually offer these courses/training from Monday to Wednesday and are scheduled for two days. Please contact me if I have aroused your interest.
